Hello, Sandra ~ Looks like you have a great service. Could you tell me a little more about your resume workshops? How do you help in a workshop setting? I'm intrigued and frankly like the price. Thanks, Nikki
Sure, Nikki! Resume Room is a new-age, new-tech update of more traditional resume services. It’s a live, one-hour online workshop that delivers high quality resume guidance in an extremely affordable group setting. All you need is a computer with internet access and, if your computer doesn’t have a microphone and speakers, a telephone. Then you can watch and listen as our experts work on the resumes of other jobhunters to discover techniques and strategies you can use right away on your own resume – for only $29.99. Or, you can send us your resume ahead of time and yours will be the one we improve during the workshop – for only $59.99!

You can “enter” Resume Room workshops again and again. Since every workshop is different, you’ll secure dozens of strategies to apply to your own resume – and it’s completely confidential. Those who participate are anonymous to one another – and all names, and contact information is changed.

One recent college graduate found herself in an overcrowded market, facing overwhelming competition, but she didn’t have enough cash on hand to pay top-dollar for a soup-to-nuts resume service. So she sought our help. Not long afterward, she landed a management position in her field of hospitality. She let us know that she “was the first new manager to get hired since the business opened a number of years ago. It's a coveted job. No doubt it was the resume; my new employer said he was very impressed with it."

Our advice is geared towards portraying each candidate as unique, distinctive and special. We don’t use templates or cookie-cutter approaches. We work to ensure that each candidate springs vividly to life and stands apart to land the interviews that will lead to the job.

Our approach is innovative and is tapping an unfilled need. Martha C., a fund-raising executive, was energized by her “visit” to Resume Room. She reports, “Everyone should do this. It’s the perfect jumpstart. Not only is my resume much, much stronger, I’m so motivated and enthusiastic, I want to run out and apply for jobs right now!”

Hope that gives you a feel for Resume Room -- everyone who has participated says it's not only helpful, it's a lot of fun during a stressful time. I look forward to seeing you in a workshop soon, Sandra
Wow -- thanks for the response and thorough explanation. I could use that kind of help. Thnx, -Nikki
Hi Dandra,

I am having the hardest time finding a job. I have had help with my resume from a career place my Company provided. I believe I am missing out on a lot of other jobs because it sounds too technical. Can you offer any advice?
Hi LuAnne and thanks for writing! I'm sorry you're having such trouble in the job search. It's true that there is lots of competition but I have found that where there is a job posting, there is a company hiring -- and if they're hiring, why not you? If you're right, and I suspect you are, that your resume sounds too technical that could definitely be your problem. With all the resumes hiring managers receive, there's no way they can do more than glance at each one for 20 seconds. That's why I work with jobhunters to make the most of those 20 seconds. I help them identify and include relevant job titles, a profile that instantly brings them and their talents to life, job achievements instead of just responsbilities and more. Engineers, BPI specialists, mortgage officers, web designers and internet marketers -- they all have specialities that recruiters and HR folks don't necessarily understand so we transform these resumes from lists to portraits of exceptionally qualified people anyone would want to meet! I hope that helps -- feel free to send me your reusme and I'll take a look if you want...no obligation. (sp@ResumeRoom.com) Remember, why not you? Sandra
Hi Sandra

thanks

Hi, I live in NZ and am very interested in participating in your online workshop but there is a significant time difference. Is it possible to do a one on one? What would it cost? Thank you.
Greetings Miri, and thank you for your note. I would be thrilled to help you with your search! If my calculations are correct, your time is about 16 hours ahead of mine (US East Coast/New York City time zone) so if you can connect between 8am and 11am your time, that would work at my end as well. Please let me know if you are available on weekdays or if you need to "meet" on a weekend. We connect via computer; I use Citrix GoToWebinar so if your computer has a microphone and speakers, you will not even incur the cost of a phone call! Also, I receive numerous requests for one-on-one sessions, although they are not described on the website, I do offer a one-hour private workshop for $149.99 US. If you would like to send me your resume, I can preview what we might accomplish on the hour. You can send it to me at sp@ResumeRoom.com I look forward to working with you to help you land that job! All best, Sandra Podesta

How To Never Miss Your Next Big Job Opportunity
