SO i have been doing some of the technique suggested by the Guerrilla marketing techniques and just not getting great results form the networking email. I sent out a request with the list of companies that I want to work for and I got nothing back. People just seem to not care to help you or pass on the email to any of their friends.

Also, have found very few people here want to help you if you hook up with them on linked in. I had suggested that maybe could distribute the Guerrilla resume and quite a few HR people from firms said they would throw those resume out.

So I do not know what it is about Alberta, Canada. I have found this in the past in Manitoba, no one cares and they just do not help. I suspect there are a lot of hidden jobs but people just are so focused in their own tunnel they do not clue in.
