Hi Lisa,

I couldn't resist replying to your post regarding Canada's so-called labour shortage. Hope you don't mind that I'm your fiercest rival professionally (you Monster, me Workopolis). A melding of minds never hurt, n'est-ce pas?

Regards,
Mark

I definately would like to contribute to the community but the problem is that right now I don't feel like I have much to say. All in time I think.

Lisa,
Question for you. I have a client who worked on his BS from 1986-1989 then took the remaining 4 classes in 2004-2005, graduating in 2005. His work experience dates back to 1990. He also has an MBA from 2008.
I am trying to figure out how the resume computer scanners will read his resume if his BS is listed as 2005. Will it prioritize his experience or the date he received his degree? Is he better off leaving off the date for his BS, even though he is only 39?
I've never had a situation where a client's dates were so off-kilter from the "norm." I thought that since you're with Monster, you might have the inside scoop about how computers look at resumes.
Thanks so much for any suggestions or resources you might have.
Best,
Miriam Salpeter
