With all of the risk of lawsuits these days, it's no wonder. But as a candidate, you don't care about employer risk - you care about getting a straight answer.
Chances are you've…

We've all been taught to write resumes that contain job descriptions ... because we've been taught to job search in a world where there were shortages of candidates and skills.

Job seekers are starved for feedback, to gain any guidance from employers they can get.
It's no wonder, since job seekers hear so much conflicting information about what works ... and what doesn't. Due to all of this conflicting information, job seekers are desperate for confirmation that they are…

When you are following up with an employer or recruiter, it's important to understand how they view your efforts.
Because there's a fine line between assertive and crazy and employers don't hire crazy.

One poll that I take asks how much of your job search time is spent on job boards.
The poll results aren't all that shocking. However, what is shocking is learning why candidates spend so much time on job boards.
Consider this ... would you place much money on a bet returning 1:10,000…

Had a look at your blogs and they're really useful and informative. I have recently started a Work in Europe Ning group for people who want to work/recruit in Europe. Would you mind if I put an RSS feed to your blog on my site? It would be fantastic to have a regular input of excellent job hunting advice on the site! :-) I realise that you are based in the states, but if you happen to know anyone who has expertise in recruiting in Europe/abroad, then please let me know, I'd be really grateful!
Kind regards
Samantha
I sent you a comment on reCareered regarding the Cover Letter topic. I was surprised to see that you did not post it. Was that because you have not received/read it or because it was not of interest? Would be interested in your thoughts.
You're not the 1st to mention WordPress so I guess I'll have to join the ranks.
Meanwhile I'm taking a Features Writing class in hopes of doing some freelance writing (for a fee). Any suggestions or ideas about whom to pitch or associations to join?
Thanks.
