When I got the end of the interview I asked, with every expectation of a solid "no" whether there was any reason why this person couldn't work in a school or pass a CRB check and was rather surprised with the answer I received; "Would the fact that I'm a registered Heroin addict be a problem?"

Yes, your being a heroin addict would probably put off most employers....
