He mentioned the cliche "if I can only get the interview, I can talk my way to the job offer." How we progressed from that statement, onto the topic of this blog post, is beyond me.
During that conversation we laughed as we discussed how the process would be different if interviewing were a contact sport. So, I thought it would be fun [and yes, funny] to hear the many responses people come up with when finishing one simple question:
If interviewing was a contact sport _________________________
A few suggestions already submitted include:
- If interviewing was a contact sport, I could tickle interviewers into submission.
- If interviewing was a contact sport, things would certainly turn out differently.
- If interviewing was a contact sport, interview prep would include trips to the gym.
- If interviewing was a contact sport, HR managers would have Gatorade and Steroid shots on their expense reports.
- If interviewing was a contact sport, go carts would be warming up for the Interview Daytona 500.
