There are several Twitter applications out there that I like to use as part of how I connect with others. One in particular has the potential to be a great asset to job seekers in the age of YouTube and Twitter.
BubbleTweet (
http://www.bubbletweet.com) is a free services that creates a 30-second video bubble, that you produce, which incorporates the layout of your Twitter account. Here is a an explanation from the
Creator of BubbleTweet.
This is a great opportunity to add some pizazz into your job search and create your own job search 30-second pitch video.
Creating a BubbleTweet is easy, follow these steps to create a BubbleTweet 30-second job search pitch.
1. Make sure your Twitter account is ready to be read by potential employers. Although space is limited, make sure your account displays your name, a short bio of our skills and background (160 characters) and a link to your online resume, Linkedin profile or personal homepage where an employer can learn about you.
2. Prepare your webcam.
3. Visit BubbleTweet.com and where you see "Create" enter your Twitter ID, and select the webcam button.
4. Follow the prompts. BubbleTweet will walk you through the process of creating your 30-second BubbleTweet video. Craft a pitch that speaks to your skills and background and the career opportunity you are seeking. CNN's 30-second Pitch is a good example how video can be used to promote yourself during your job search.
5. When you are finished, you will be furnished with a link to your BubbleTweet video. You can use this link several ways. For example, as a link on your email signature, a tweet to your Twitter followers, a link on your blog, Linkedin, Facebook accounts, personal homepage or even on your resume as part of your contact information block.
The applications are endless. Be creative and see what type of response you get. It may lead your next job.
Here is a screenshot of a BubbleTweet I recently create to promote an upcoming job search webinar.
Check out the BubbleTweet site as there are several examples of how you can use this cool tool as part of your job search.
If you create a 30-second pitch using BubbleTweet I would love to hear about it and send me the link. I would love to present examples and maybe some success stories of how it worked for you in a future article. Send them to me at john@talentevolution.com.
