Career Advice Podcasts & Job Seeker Network

Tell me your job search success stories!

I want to feature stories of people who have recently landed new positions. If anyone is interested in having me interview them and include them in upcoming blog posts (anonymously, of course), it may give others hope and suggest new methods for them to try. Did you get your new job through applying to online job postings via Indeed, Careerbuilder, Monster, or Craig's List, applying directly to the company, networking, or a combination of many things? How long did your job search take? What was your interviewing process like? What would say was the main factor that led to you being selected for the job?

For example, one of my clients sent me this email about her search:

"I am excited about the new opportunity. This was not a job or company that was initially on my radar; it actually came up through a connection of mine. A former client of mine was looking for a salesperson and asked me if I knew anyone for 'XYZ Company.' I told him that I was looking and may potentially be a great fit. One thing led to another and here I am! It is a nice change of pace and I look forward to the new challenge."

If you would like to participate and share your stories with others, please respond below or contact me at ginger@takechargecoaching.com for an personal interview.

To the rest of you who are still looking, keep up your spirits and don't give up. I have seen some improvement on the horizon!
