100 TECH Jobs for GA

If you’re looking for an IT job, you may be in luck. Rural Sourcing Inc. has picked Augusta to set up shop. It will bring a hundred jobs to the area. They expect to fill about 20 jobs before the end of the year and they’ll fill the remaining 80 jobs next year. 100 new employees will soon call this building home. 51 Jobs for Iowa

Ryerson Inc., a Chicago metal processing and distribution company will create 51 new local jobs when it opens a plate processing center in Eldridge. Tuesday, Ryerson announced plans to open in the 175,000-square-foot Roll'n Hold facility on Trails Road in Eldridge and invest about$7.3 million in the project. Operation is expected to begin by July. The city of Eldridge worked closely with the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce/Quad Cities First economic development team to close the deal after receiving a lead from the Iowa Department of Economic Development. | Source: http://bit.ly/i1uHix

2,000 High Tech Jobs for the USA

General Motors Co. and Chrysler Group LLC will be hiring engineers and other technical staff, creating a combined 2,000 high-tech jobs. GM will add 1,000 engineers and researchers in Michigan over the next two years to work on technology behind vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt. And Chrysler said it is actively recruiting on 35 college campuses and encouraging resumes in a bid to add the professionals by April of next year. LHP Software announced today the addition of 25 new jobs in central Indiana in the next three months as part of their strategy to create 150 jobs company-wide in 2011. Many of these 25 high technology embedded controls positions may be located in a new Indianapolis, IN office location. A CARE centre in Ellesmere Port is to create more than 170 jobs. Caremark (Cheshire West and Chester) in Station Road provides high quality, home-based care and support for people of all ages, including those with physical and learning disabilities or terminal illnesses. The recently-launched franchise, which is run by married couple, doctors Ade and Anikphe Oyedeji, currently has 30 staff but they’re estimating that they will require at least another 170 employees, with an immediate need in Ellesmere Port, Neston, Chester, Malpas, Whitchurch and the Wirral. A NEW Virgin Atlantic customer service call centre opened in the centre of Swansea yesterday will create 200 jobs over the next two years. The airline’s first base in South Wales at Alexandra House was opened by Deputy First Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones. An estimated 28,000 people are now employed in call centres in Wales. 100 Jobs for Ireland

A LEADING management consultancy firm which is directly linked to 75% of the Fortune 500 companies is set to create 100 jobs in Dublin over the next four years. In a rare positive announcement for employment in Ireland, Accenture — which already employs 1,300 people in this country — said the positions would become available between now and 2014. The move is the first job creation announcement since the world’s attention turned to discussions over the bailout of Ireland by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Central Bank (ECB) more than a fortnight ago. A major management consultancy of global renown, Accenture provides technology services and outsourcing to clients in 120 countries and has an international workforce of more than 200,000 people. While the company’s headquarters is in New York, since 2009 it has been incorporated in Ireland. The new private equity owners of WorldPay, the payment processing business sold by Britain's Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L), are to invest 200 million pounds in the company ($311 million) and crea.... The EU-enforced sale completed on Wednesday involves majority state-owned RBS retaining a 20 percent stake. 700 Jobs for Canada

The provincial government says a new wind tower manufacturing plant will bring as many as 700 jobs to the southwest... of Windsor. The plant will mean 300 full-time jobs and up to 400 construction and indirect service jobs for the city, which has been hard hit by the economic downturn. The wind tower plant is part of a $7-billion green energy deal between the province and Korean giant Samsung. The plant will be built and run by a new Ontario subsidiary of CS Wind, a Korean-based company that has partnered with Samsung. 1,000 Jobs for the UK

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is poised to create about 1,000 new jobs in Britain after the Government pledged support for a new tax incentive to promote innovation. The proposed "patent box" slashes the rate of corporation tax on profits generated from UK-owned intellectual property, such as patents. Andrew Witty, GSK chief executive, said the move had the potential to "transform" the way companies like GSK view the UK as a location for new investments. Cut-price hotel chain Travelodge has delivered an early Christmas present by announcing plans to create 200 new jobs. The vast bulk will come from six new hotels due to be opened in Maidenhead, Chichester, London, Horsham, Paignton and Lancaster. The positions include roles for hotel managers, receptionists, housekeepers, and bar staff. The remaining 50 jobs are management positions across the UK and at the head office in Thame, Oxfordshire.
