Secrets of the Job Hunt

Career Advice Podcasts & Job Seeker Network

Part of today's job search is all about maximizing that effort. I'm talking about utilizing the vast amount of niche job sites that live online. Forget the Big 3 (monster, CB, hotjobs), the real jobs live on the industry and regional job boards across the web. But where to find them?

Well here is a list of directories where you can find all the niche job boards in your area and industry.

AllStarJobs
Job-hunt.org
RileyGuide
Jobtarget
CareerCast
AIRS job board directory
Job Board reviews

So get out there and happy hunting.

You must have read my mind! I have been planning a post about niche job boards. I will plan to link back to this post. Thanks, as always, for the great resources and information! (I'm linking to SOTHJ in my post today about resources for job hunters to find advice and information as well.)

Best,

Chris-
I appreciate you sharing this information regarding niche job boards. My students will appreciate the many opportunities it has to offer.

Also, do you know of any "niche" job boards specifically targeted for internships or volunteer opportunities?

Thanks for sharing!

If you're looking for a seasonal job for the spring, summer, fall or winter, be sure to check out CoolWorks.com. Our niche is jobs in great places like national parks, ranches, camps, ski resorts, conservation corps and other volunteer opportunities. If it's not a cool place, it's not on our site.

Thanks for this. I've been covering what I call "targeted search" on my site, which includes (or I guess could also be defined as) niche job boards.
