My name is Ken Clark, and I am the co-founder of Onward Search (www.onwardsearch.com), a national staffing provider of search marketing, advertising and creative, and technology professionals to Fortune 1000 and internet marketing agencies. I asked a few of our recruiters what they had seen from a resume perspective that stood out to them. Josh Gampel, our VP of Staffing Services, told me the following:
I once received a resume from a very senior advertising and marketing executive. Along with a very creative and well put together resume from the layout and content perspective he included a link to a flash video. The flash video was a very funny and well done animated cartoon about his career progression and his success. He was not a fit for anything that I had at the time but I had to give him a call just out of pure curiosity. To this day, I unfortunately have not placed him but we still keep in touch and he stands out above the rest as “The guy with the great resume”.
