Working the Night Shift

Whenever we talk about work the hours nine to five pop into our heads. But not all people have the schedule that society considers to be the norm. Security, law enforcement, transportation, and casino jobs all require night owls to keep business running smoothly until the sun rises the next day. Do people actually prefer [...]

Getting Stung by the Rejection Bee

When you get rejected, whether it is from a passed promotion or failing to get your dream job, you feel miserable. You want to build a fort around you with the covers from your bed and cry, stare blankly at the wall, or eat a quart of ice cream. It happens to the best of [...]

Why Can’t We Be Like The Europeans?

Many Americans are workaholics. Its part of our blood, we are just born with it. It rarely crosses our mind that we only get two weeks of vacation a year and that we spend way more than forty hours a week at work. Why haven’t Americans tried to adopt a more European approach to our [...]

Share the Nuts

Have you ever heard of the squirrel effect? I recently read about the squirrel effect which compares the storage and hoarding of nuts by a squirrel as equivalent to that of human beings in the workplace. Like the squirrel, people often hide what they deem important in the corporate world. What do people value most [...]

A Little Slice of the Passion Pie

You know you are on the road to success if you would do your job, and not be paid for it. Oprah Winfrey Most of us hate our job. We dread Mondays and we count down the minutes until the work day is over. The problem is that we all see work as a means to an [...]

Use the Internet to Network

Networking is such a hard thing to do. Most every major job advice book or blog out there will tell you to network if you want a new job. And they are right. The reality is that the majority of new employees hired, were done so thanks to either their personal or professional network. The problem is that maintaining such a network isn’t the foremost thought on your mind when you’re gainfully and happily employed . It’s only when you are looking for a job that you realize you’ve neglected to keep… Continue

Yes, you may absolutely use whatever resources you have to find a job.The ultimate goal is for you to find your dream job. Whether you do that through Applicant Tree or your network of friends and family or another job site is immaterial to actually landing that new job.

Thank you for responding. Just out of curiosity, once the process is set in motion, is it okay to use other websites such as Monster or Career Builder, etc.? Thank you again and I look forward to working with you.

I signed up with Applicant Tree on May 21st. I have yet to be contacted for a telephone interview. I have tried calling at the number shown on the "Contact Us" page but all I get is a recording. I have emailed you twice. When I tried to register again, I got an error message that says that someone with my email address has already registered. When may I expect to hear from you? Thank you.
